The 1932 Olympic Games took place in Los Angeles, in the midst of the Great Depression.

With the world in the grip of an economic crisis, many nations and athletes were unable to make it to the then relatively remote state of California, and the Games saw less than half the competitors than in 1928.

However, the event marked the first Games as we would know them, and a record crowd of 100,000 packed the opening ceremony at the astonishing Coliseum stadium.

Celebrate the triumph of spirit with this 80% ring-spun cotton/20% polyester full-zip knit-collar fleece. This wonderfully comfortable jacket has three zip pockets, all with official Olympic Museum Collection brushed nickel pull-tabs.

The back is embroidered with the Official 1932 Olympic Games emblem, while the front sports the US Athlete logo embroidered above “X Olympiad Los Angeles 1932”.

The slogan “Citius, Altius, Fortius” – “Faster, Higher, Stronger” – surrounds the full-colour Olympic rings and a laurel branch, the symbol of victory.

Each purchase supports the Olympic Movement, meaning you can look and feel good knowing your purchase helps the world’s greatest sporting event.
