A miniature replica of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games torch. A total of 200,000 copies were made as limited editions.
Each torch is delivered in a wooden box with a certificate and series number.
Some history: Made of very light aluminium, the original Beijing Games torch has a curled scroll design. It is 72 centimetres long and has a “lucky cloud” design on its lower end. This cloud design, which is used a great deal in Chinese decoration, is repeated on the upper part of the torch. The dominant colour is red, recalling Chinese lacquer.
The shape of the torch is a reference to paper, one of the main inventions of the Chinese civilisation, which dates back to the second century A.D.
